LIMS® invites you to participate in the events that will celebrate our 30th Anniversary!
2008 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Laban/Bartenieff Institute and 50 years of development of Laban's movement theories. The LIMS® community will celebrate these milestones by presenting the most exciting, thought provoking and groundbreaking meeting of Laban & Bartenieff professionals to date.
- Friday, November 14th: Gala Dinner at the Harvard Club, in NYC.
Come and celebrate your own history and meet individuals who have been vital in maintaining LIMS® and expanding the Laban/Bartenieff work worldwide! The dinner will also feature amazing performers from the Laban community!
The Harvard Club is located at 35 West 44th Street, New York City. A Reception will be held from 6:00-7:00 in the North Room, followed by Dinner from 7:00 - 9:00 in the Biddle Room.

BEYOND BODY LANGUAGE will bring together professionals from several fields who have been informed by the Laban & Bartenieff theories. Join us to exchange ideas, establish collaborations, enjoy the presentation of results of new research, and know more about the many exciting ways that our professionals are applying and developing Laban Movement Analysis and the Bartenieff Method.
The BEYOND BODY LANGUAGE symposium will strengthen, empower and celebrate the Laban/Bartenieff work by sharing exciting discoveries, useful applications and creative endeavors within the community and with a larger audience. Participants will experience wonderfully interactive activities to take them on an engaging journey toward body and movement style awareness and creative thinking.
As LIMS®, LMA and BF continue to grow and evolve, we will come together to acknowledge our progress thus far and to launch a new awareness of the profound work we do at the global level.
